My mother-in-law wears the puzzle piece charm on her bracelet as a gift from her grandchildren (along with a flower charm, a pan charm, a "grandmother" charm, and a birthday cake charm). One year each child in our family chose a charm that reminded them most of Grandma. Then, in their own handwriting (the ones who could write) described why they chose that particular charm. The puzzle charm was selected by my son because he loves to do puzzles and so does Grandma. In fact, when she comes to visit, she quite often brings a stack of new puzzles for the grandkids. Having the children write down their memories associated with a particular charm is especially meaningful.
